Valparaiso

Main port of Chile, located at 115 kms. East from Santiago built on hills over a very agitated bay. The main attraction of Valparaíso are the hills dividing the city in two levels: at the lower level, the financial and commercial district mostly on streets Prat, Esmeralda and Avenida Pedro Montt, with cafés and theaters, and at the higher level, the characteristic constructions hanging on the hills and squeezed on snake-like streets and small passages. It is very common the use of elevators to go from one part of town to the other.

One of the main regional attractions with people coming from all over the world, is the "New Year at the Sea Año Nuevo en el Mar, with the fireworks at the bay, light show and the cannon shots from the forts and ships at the bay.

Your visit to Chile is not complete if you don't visit Viña del Mar, Valparaíso and the beaches of Reñaca and Concón.
