Iquique

Port city with a subtropical climate, a fantastic architecture from the end of the century, and modern buildings. Interesting sites are the area of Pintados with its archeological remains, the Mamiña thermal at the base of the cordillera, or the Oasis de Pica located at the base of the mount of the cordillera, where water flows to irrigate the land around.

Very important is the Zona Franca "Free Zone," a three store building with more than 200 stores where visitors can buy, at low prices, from electronics, photo equipment, textiles and auto parts.
